Will moss removal damage my shingles?
Not the way we do it. We avoid high pressure on asphalt shingles because it strips the protective granules. Removal is done by hand and with low-pressure washing suited to the roofing material.
How often should moss be removed?
For most Lower Mainland homes, a cleaning every one to two years plus a treatment keeps moss under control. Shaded roofs under trees may need it yearly.
When is the best time of year?
Late spring through early fall, when the roof is dry enough to work on safely and treatments can soak in.
